Ananga Ranga: Erotic Art of Love & Sex: An Illustrated Ancient Indian Guide for Couples (Sacred Sexuality and Erotic Passion: The Classic Creative Guide for Lovers)
The Ananga Ranga is a sacred sexuality guide for men and women from ancient India (written in the 15th - 16th Century A.D.). It is similar to the Kama Sutra (on which it draws), but is less well known.
The Ananga Ranga shows how husbands and wives can cultivate their relationship through love and sexual pleasure. It is a guide for couples to enjoy diverse sexual positions and pleasures, which is said to create harmony between man and woman, so that they don't become bored with one another.
"The chief reason for the separation between the married couple is the want of varied pleasures and the monotony which follows possession. Fully understanding the way in which such quarrels arise, I have in this book shown how the husband, by varying the enjoyment of his wife, may live with her as with thirty-two different women, ever varying the enjoyment of her."

This state of things is clean reversed in the case of the man, who approaches the first act burning with love heat, which cools during the second, and which leaves him languid and disinclined for a third. The desires of the woman are as full, real and urgent as those of the man. The custom of society and the shame of the sex may compel her to conceal them; yet the man who has studied the Art of Love is never deceived by this cunning."
"For sexual intercourse with women: Choose the largest, and finest, and the most airy room in the house, purify it thoroughly with whitewash, and decorate its spacious and beautiful walls with pictures and other objects upon which the eye may dwell with delight.
Scattered about this apartment place musical instruments, refreshments to retaining and restoring vigour; bottles of rose water and various essences, fans for cooling the air, books containing amorous songs, and gladdening the glance with illustrations of love-postures.
Wall lights should gleam around the wall, reflected by a hundred mirrors, whilst both man and woman should give themselves up in complete nakedness to unrestrained voluptuousness, upon a high and handsome bedstead, raised on tall legs, furnished with many pillows, and covered by a rich canopy; the sheets being sprinkled with flowers and scented by burning luscious incense. In such a place, let the man, ascending the throne of love, enjoy the woman in ease and comfort, gratifying his and her every wish and every whim."
"The embraces, kisses and sundry manipulations, must always be practised according to the taste of husband and wife. They will excessively excite the passions of the woman, and will soften and loosen her Yoni so as to be ready for carnal connection. The following verses show how much art and science there is in a matter which appears so simple to the uneducated and vulgar."
